A concert featuring some of the best music students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama will be held next month.

Clevedon Music Club will host a special one-off concert performed by eight outstanding musicians from the Cardiff-based college.

Most of the students, who are in their early 20s, have already won prestigious scholarships and prizes for their performances.

Twelve-year-old pianist Charlotte Kwok has played for the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace and at his 70th birthday will be among the eight performers.

Music from Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mozart and Bach will be played.

The youngsters will entertain a crowd in the Teignmouth Room at the Clevedon Community Centre, in Princes Road, on March 19 at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £9, are available on the door. The event is likely to sell out so early arrival is advised.
