A Portishead venue will host some ‘internationally-renowned acts’ this year, with hopes of raising valuable cash.
A series of well-known performers will take to the stage at Somerset Hall, in High Street, over the next 12 months.
Curators Assemblage have joined forces with Somerset Hall to attract top musicians to the 250-capacity venue.
Merseyside new wave band China Crisis, who enjoyed several chart successes in the 1980s, will perform in Portishead on October 11.
Kiki Dee, who performed alongside Sir Elton John on the unforgettable 1974 hit Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, will take to the stage with Carmelo Luggeri on November 2.
Paul Young and Los Pacaminos have also been booked for a gig in January 2020.
A spokesman for Somerset Hall said: “This year will see internationally-renowned acts in exclusive events.
“The project will use profits from the concerts to fund activities and events for local charities.”
