CLEVEDON Music Shop will host regular performances of live music in a bid to raise its profile and introduce more people to music.

The store in Alexandra Road has a small stage area in its window where singers, songwriters and musicians will perform on the first and third Thursday of every month from now on.

The idea of Live Music at Lunchtimes was thought up by staff member Liz Tedbury who believed the shop would make a nice environment for people to listen to music.

She said: “There is a lot of people that don’t even know we are here.

“I thought it would be nice for people to be able to access live music in a different environment.

“It makes sense to have live music in a music shop.”

Over the coming months a variety of music will be performed including Latin American, a jazz pianist and a bluegrass band.

Tomorrow from 1-2pm it will be Irish music.

Coffee and mince pies will be served for people to enjoy while at the shop.
