BRITISH musician and singer, Robert Plant, will be showcasing the talents of his latest outfit, The Sensational Space Shifters, at Westonbirt Arboretum this summer.

The group will perform a special gig at the venue near Tetbury on July 10 as part of its Forest Live series of concerts promoted by the Forestry Commission.

Led Zeppelin frontman Plant, who has been in the music business for nearly 50 years, is returning to his native England after an extended stay in the US.

Last year marked the release of his 10th solo album, Lullaby And… The Ceaseless Roar, his latest project recorded with The Sensational Space Shifters which he formed in 2012 using the line-up from the band Strange Sensation.

Following a recent sell-out tour of indoor venues and an explosive performance at Glastonbury Festival 2014, fans can now look forward to another live set in a stunning setting. The Sensational Space Shifters’ performance at the arboretum will include tracks from the 2014 album, as well as new interpretations of Led Zeppelin classics.

Tickets, priced £48.50, are available on 03000 680400 or online at forestry.gov.uk/music

The Forestry Commission uses income from ticket sales for a wide range of projects.
