DETAILS of a secret gig at Portishead Workingmen’s Club have been released this week.

Two members of top 90s band Ocean Colour Scene will play live at the Slade Road club on Friday.

Guitarist and vocalist Andy Bennett, along with Dan Sealey who plays bass and provides backing vocals, agreed to the concert as a favour to their friend, club steward Chris Magson.

This will provide a warm-up gig for the musicians ahead of the Ocean Colour Scene international tour, commemorating the 21st anniversary of the release of Moseley Shoals, an amazingly successful album. The tour begins on November 24.

As well as playing Ocean Colour Scene songs, Andy and Dan will be providing covers from some of the rock greats. Local band Ryder will support the duo.

Doors open at 7pm with the music expected to start at around 8.30pm.

Tickets costing £8 are available from the bar at the Working Men’s Club on a first come first served basis
