A DEVON-based blues rock duo will headline Bristol’s Golden Lion on Friday.

Moriaty, who have been likened to the White Stripes and Jimi Hendrix, are bringing their hook-laden new material to the Gloucester Road venue as part of a successful seven-date UK tour.

Last year saw the band becoming a featured artist on Huw Stephens’ Radio One show, after being hand-picked by BBC Introducing’s James Santer.

This year promises to bring a variety of new music from the two-piece, including a hiphop merger and a guest appearance on their new track, which is yet to be announced.

Moriaty will be at the Golden Lion, in Gloucester Road, Bristol, on Friday. Entry is free and the event also features live music from The Scribes.
