Henry and his Hot Six come to Yatton

PUBLISHED: 16:47 13 April 2011

HENRY Davies’ Hot Six will be performing at the monthly jazz session in The Prince of Orange Inn in Yatton.

Multi-instrumentalist Henry Davies decided to take up the trumpet seriously after years of playing the sousaphone and formed his Hit Six in 1991.

Since then, the band has become renowned for playing many jazz standards and favourites and rarely heard tunes from the classic jazz age, but not quite in the same style of most bands.

Each member of the band has a wealth of experience gained over many years of playing in many jazz bands and collectively the result is a superb band providing excellent entertainment.

Henry Davies’ Hot Six will be performing at the Yatton pub at 8pm on April 20.

Limited tickets, priced £7.50, can be bought from George Giles on 01934 527197 or on the door priced £8.50 if available.
