Curzon Music Festival acts announced

The Curzon Music Festival will return in May for its third music festival.
This year’s event will take place on May 18 and 19 when 10 talented acts will take to the stage at the 105-year-old venue.
The artists on show have been curated by Songs From The Shed and they all have vast experience of playing at festivals.
Friday’s festivities will get underway with a performance by North Somerset natives The Model Folk.
This six-piece folk-influenced band create a real sense of intimacy at every gig using self-deprecating humour, romance and audience interaction.
As well as their catchy harmonies, The Model Folk are extremely talented musicians playing clarinet, trumpets, a trombone and even an accordion.
Acoustic five-piece Thunderbridge Bluegrass Band will showcase their brand of American roots music through their own material and some classic covers, before Ushti Baba headline Friday night.
The gypsy-folk group play an energetic fusion of traditional folk mixed with modern dance rhythms which audiences will find impossible not to dance along to.
Everyone will have a chance to recharge their batteries and prepare for Saturday’s round two, with a highly regarded London-based singer with roots in Berlin kicking off proceedings.
Roxanne de Bastion released her debut album in 2013 which acted as a launchpad for a career which has seen her perform at Glastonbury and tour the USA.
She will perform songs from her latest release which has featured on BBC 6 Music and appeared in Germany’s largest national newspaper.
The rest of the day will be packed with performances from the likes of Rodney Branigan, Gabby Young, Edgelarks and Moscow Drug Club.
Noble Jacks will provide a rousing festival finale on May 19.
Fresh from an extensive tour last year the folk band have entertained crowds across Europe including performances at Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival and Portugal’s Costa Del Folk.
The Curzon will also offer local beers and ciders, wines and more throughout the weekend.
