A choir from Clevedon will be performing at a church in the town next month.

Clevedon Choral will be holding their Spring concert at St Peter’s Church on April 6.

The mixed, choir, will present choral arrangements from several 20th Century British composers including Tippett, Britten, Vaughan Williams and Holst and feature spirituals from Child Of Our Time and modern piece Rejoice The Lamb.

Elinor Cooper, musical director at Clevedon Choral believes it will be a hugely entertaining evening with some incredible performances planned.

She said: “With this programme, I set out to celebrate the incredible variety and quality of 20th century British music.

“All four composers represented helped to put British music back at the fore of European music in a way not seen since the time of William Byrd and Thomas Tallis.”

Clevedon Choral will be at St Peter’s Church, in Alexandra Road, at 7.30pm, on April 6.
