A BARN dance to raise money for children in Kenya is being held in Bristol on March 26.

Local band Cats Whiskers will be providing the music while Mike Courthold and Phil Bassindale call the dances.

Bristol morris dancers Nonesuch will also be performing on the night.

The event is being held in Ashton Park School, Blackmoor Road, Bower Ashton at 8pm and tickets, priced £8.50, include a ploughman’s supper. Children under 16 will be charged £4.25.

To book tickets call Dave Byett on 01934 835435. Money raised from the event will go towards the Maji Safi Projects, which provide schools, teachers and support for families and children in two villages in Kenya.
