MUSIC-LOVERS will have the chance to listen to the award-winning violinist, Julia Hwang, at a special concert in Clevedon.
The 14-year-old will be joined by the Bristol Classical Players for the evening of music at All Saints’ Church in All Saints Lane on October 30, beginning at 7.30pm.
Julia will be playing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, and after an interval, Bristol Classical Players will perform Beethoven’s Symphony No 1, conducted by Tom Gauterin.
Julia performed her professional solo debut aged just nine with the English National Baroque Orchestra, and cut her first CD in 2007.
A music and academic scholar at Clifton College, Bristol, she has collected a string of impressive awards, most recently winning The National IAPS Young Musicians of the Year Competition in 2009.
The BRistol Classical Players consists of about 40 players and was formed in 2008 to perform the nine Beethoven symphonies.
