An award-winning music biopic about a legendary frontman will be screened in Long Ashton later this month.

LA Cinema will show Bohemian Rhapsody at the community centre, in Keedwell Hill.

It tells the story of the popular rock band Queen and its iconic frontman Freddie Mercury.

The film follows the singer's life from when the band is formed in the 1970s to their famous televised performance at Live Aid in 1985.

Bohemian Rhapsody, which was released last year, won best motion picture at the Golden Globes and was a box-office smash

And leading actor Rami Malek was named best actor at the Oscars, BAFTA's and Golden Globes for his portrayal of Mercury.

Malek's performance has helped him land a role in the next Bond movie.

Doors to Bohemian Rhapsody open at 7.15pm for an 8pm start on May 18.

Tickets, priced £5, are available online at www.la-cinema.uk or on the door.
