An award-winning film starring Olivia Colman will be screened on Saturday evening.

Long Ashton Cinema will screen The Favourite, featuring Colman (Queen Anne), Rachel Weisz (Lady Sarah) and Emma Stone (Abigail).

The film, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, is set in early 18th Century England, where Abigail and Sarah both compete to become Court favourites to Queen Anne.

Colman won Best Actress at the Oscars, BAFTAs and Golden Globes for her portrayal as Queen Anne this year.

A BAFTA award for Best Actress In A Supporting Role went to Rachel Weisz and the film also received a Satellite Award for Best Ensemble, also won this year.

Colman's career has blossomed in recent years and was a fan's favourite in Broadchurch, which was partly filmed in Clevedon.

The Favourite will be screened at the venue, in Keedwell Hill, on Saturday at 8-11pm.

Tickets, priced £5, are available at www.la-cinema.uk
