An internationally-acclaimed film will be screened at Long Ashton Cinema this month.

Cold War has won five awards on the world stage and its Polish director, Pawel Pawlikowski, has received three separate accolades for his work on the film.

The story centres around a turbulent, whirlwind romance between two musicians in a divided post-war Europe.

The tale is centred on a backdrop of the Cold War in the 1950s in Poland, Berlin, Yugoslavia and Paris.

The film was recently nominated for three Oscar awards at the 2019 ceremony held in America last month.

Cold War will be screened at Long Ashton’s Community Centre, in Keedwell Hill, on March 16 at 8pm.

People under the age of 15 will not be permitted entry.

Tickets, priced £5, are available from www.la-cinema.uk
