FUNNYMAN Omid Djalili has been called ‘joyfully smart’, ‘impossible to resist’ and ‘one of the most entertaining comedians in the country’ since a comedy debut at the Edinburgh Festival in 1995.
The award-winning stand-up comedian, writer, and producer has enjoyed a host of sell-out stand-up tours and received rave reviews for his often self-deprecating humour, winning him a Time Out Award for best stand-up among a number of accolades.
Born in London to Iranian parents, much of Omid’s humour is born out of his heritage, and his good-natured, subversive brand of comedy has won the 49-year-old many plaudits during his two decades on the circuit.
His new tour, entitled Iranalamadingdong, is sure to again follow suit.
He is appearing at the Colston Hall in Bristol on February 20, starting at 8pm.
Tickets, priced £25, are available from the box office on 08448 871500 or via www.colstonhall.org
