Comedian Jimmy Carr’s year-long tour will stop by Bristol this autumn.

He may have been on the scene for 15 years but that does not stop him creating brand new material, alongside some of his old favourites.

London-born Carr has a political science degree from the University of Cambridge and certainly uses his intelligence as part of his performances.

The 44-year-old is best known for his witty one-liners and regular appearances – as host and guest – on a number of panel shows, including 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Have I Got News For You and The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year.

Carr has been praised on a number of occasions for the sheer volume of jokes in his shows.

You can expect a host of different subject matters including politics, celebrities and his hilarious take on the rights and wrongs in society.

And knowing Carr you can probably expect a fair few outrageous gags too.

Carr’s touring schedule is gruelling and he performs across the country continuously throughout the year.

He takes just five weeks off and has done this since his first appearance at Edinburgh Festival back in 2003.

He will be at Colston Hall, in Colston Street, on September 16, with the show starting at 8pm.

Tickets, priced £29.56, are available by calling the box office on 08448 871500 or by visiting www.colstonhall.org
