A SERIES of films aimed at North Somerset teenagers will begin with the screening of Back to the Future on November 11.

The Curzon Community Cinema in Clevedon has launched Reelers, a film club for people aged 13-19 that will see films being put on at 5pm on a Friday once a month.

This has been set up by the Curzon Youth Panel and the Reelers planning group is holding weekly meetings to discuss dates, films and publicity for the venture.

Members can pick up a loyalty card enabling them to watch the sixth Reelers film screening for free and the group will also get together to discuss the films after they are shown.

Back to the Future, the 1985 hit film, sees a teenage musician, Marty McFly, travel back in time to the 1950s where he accidentally prevents his parents from meeting.

Starring Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd, the film is often cited as the most successful film of the 1980s. All Reelers screenings will cost £4 each. To book in advance call the box office on 01275 87100.

Anyone interested in joining the Curzon’s teen group should email curzonreelers@hotmail.co.uk
