An award-winning author will be at a Clevedon bookshop this weekend.

Lucienne Boyce will discuss her latest novel, The Butcher’s Block, at Books On The Hill in Hill Road on Saturday.

The book is the latest instalment in the Dan Foster series, a dark historical murder mystery set in London 200 years ago.

The plot features accurate portrayals of some of the issues in Georgian times, including the plight of the underclass, calls for parliamentary reform and divisions between Britain and Europe.

Lucienne’s first Dan Foster novel, Bloodie Bones, earned her recognition including the Historical Novel Society Indie Award in 2016.

She is now working on the third book in the series as well as a biography about suffragette Millicent Browne.

Lucienne will sign copies of The Butcher’s Block at Books On The Hill from 11am-2pm while she will talk about her work at 5.30pm.
