Anna Karenina

A BOLD theatrical vision of the epic story of love will be screened in Clevedon from Friday.

Anna Karenina (12A) is the third collaboration of Academy Award-nominee Keira Knightley with acclaimed director Joe Wright following the award-winning box office successes Pride & Prejudice and Atonement.

The story, adapted from Leo Tolstoy’s timeless novel, powerfully explores the capacity for love that surges through the human heart.

As Anna (Knightley) questions her happiness and marriage, change comes to all around her.

Also starring Jude Law, Anna Karenina will be screened at the Curzon cinema in Old Church Road from Friday until October 4.

* For younger audiences, Top Cat: The Movie (U) will be shown at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

In the film, Top Cat and the gang face a new police chief, who is not at all happy with poor Officer Dibble’s attempts to prevent Top Cat’s scams.
