The season to be merry will have a new addition to its calendar this year.
Nine Carols And Comedians will take place at Portishead’s Somerset Hall in the run-up to Christmas.
The event, which will be run by the town’s churches, will see four comedians perform and five carols sung.
Paul Kerensa, who has been a script writer for television shows such as Miranda and Not Going Out, will headline.
Comedian Tony Vino, who will compere the night, said: “Don’t think that just because it’s clean comedy it will be tame.
“It will be the same quality just without the swearing.
“I can’t wait to bring our Nine Carols And Comedians show to Portishead. This will be the best night of your Christmas, guaranteed.”
It will start at 8pm on December 22.
Tickets, priced £10, are available from Morgan-Westley or by emailing nickmoxon@btinternet.com
