WIN: High-flying wrestling action heading to North Somerset next week
PUBLISHED: 14:00 14 March 2019
North Somerset will host some of Britian’s biggest wrestling stars later this month, promising a night of high-octane action in the squared circle.
The Combat Sports Federation (CSF) will wow the crowd at Weston’s Hutton Moor Leisure Centre, in Hutton Moor Road, on March 23 at 6pm – and the Times has free tickets to give away.
The show – called Saturday Night Slam – will feature some of Britain’s best grapplers, plus an international star who will bring women’s wrestling back to the town for the first time in years.
Canadian Gisele Shaw, who was trained by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend Lance Storm, has issued a challenge to any female competitor willing to face her in the ring.
Also on the bill are the likes of JD Knight, Tiger Ali, Oliver Satchwell and the WWE’s ‘English Lion’ Eddie Ryan.
Some of the biggest names in Wrestling have locked horns in Weston over the years, with WWE superstars Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Jack Swagger and MVP all climbing through the CSF ropes at Hutton Moor in the past.
“Wrestling fans in Weston have always given us a warm welcome when we visit,” a CSF spokesman said.
“We held our first bout here 14 years ago and have now held more 40 live events in town.
“We bring the biggest names in the world to our shows and look forward to giving our Weston fans another action packed evening of live entertainment.”
Tickets, priced £11, are available from the box office on 01934 425900 or to buy online at www.csfshop.co.uk
