Portishead Running Club member Angela Copeland finished first in the pistol (sprint) distance Tri in St Lucia.

Portishead Running Club used the Chipping Sodbury parkrun for its club championship series, with Mark Williams (18.09 - a new PB) and Beth Manning (22.05) the club’s first male and female finishers.

In somewhat warmer conditions out in the Caribbean, Angela Copeland swam, cycled and ran her way to victory in the pistol (sprint) distance Tri St Lucia event in 1.35, where she duly received congratulations from Britain’s greatest-ever male multi-discipline athlete, Daley Thompson.

James Lucas PB’d at the Castle Combe Chilly 10k in 42.37, with Richard Nuell following in 1.10.34.
