ROVERS have joined Triangle A at the top of the Wrington Vale Snooker League.

Triangles defeated The Young Ones 6-0. Frames A consolidated third place after a whitewash over Backwell Lucky 13 in which Jason Marsh knocked in the highest break so far this season, 47. Joe Jarad was also in good form knocking in breaks of 44 and 36.

Peelers leap-frogged the Backwell side from bottom place after their first victory of the season, a 4-2 win over Cleeve Corners. In a night of top snooker with plenty of banter, George Rowe was the initial hero for the police side winning both his frames, a stunning black securing the second against Mike Gould.

Lee Kerslake had won the opener and Andy Jones put the home side four frames up with another black ball victory over Irving Prowse. Cleeve hit back with the final two frames with Reuben Hurse defeating Lee and Irving potting the last six colours to defeat Andy.

Breaks: J Marsh 47, 33, 24; J Jarad 44, 36, 27; A Sweet 35; N Ollerenshaw 24.
