Three silver medals for young badminton players

Three pairs from Clevedon Feathers Badminton Club won silver medals at the Avon doubles tournament

Six pairs from Clevedon Feathers Juniors took part in the Avon doubles tournament.

There were some amazing games against other youngsters from some clubs including St Ursulas, Uphill, Chew Valley and Portishead.

First medal of the day was in the Under-12s, with a silver medal won by Georgia Powers (aged nine) and Paige Hodgeson (9) losing in the final against a talented pair from Chew Valley.

Then Harry Wall (10) and Josh Peterson (11) played and won seven straight games to get into the final against St Ursulas pair, but lost out 15-10 to take a silver medal.

Next up was Georgia Creed and Lucie Thompson, who also took a silver medal in the girls’ Under-14s.
