Clevedon Tennis Club team enjoyed success in the Avon Veterans League.

Clevedon Lawn Tennis Club had a successful late summer league campaign in the Avon Veterans League.

The first team finished the season top of Division 2 with a 10-0 victory over Downend and Frenchay and lost only one match all season. Clevedon had three of the top five best performing players in the league.

Mike Maiden won 15 from 16 matches, Myles Wellings won all 14 he played and David Blandford won 11 from 14 matches.

The second team also finished top of Division 4 with only one defeat during the season. Clevedon had three of the top five players in the division headed up by Nigel Sutton and John Perry who were both undefeated and Peter Bryant who lost only one match.

Clevedon Lawn Tennis Club is offering some exciting half-term holiday tennis coaching for children.

With fun games, exercises and drills, there is something for everyone at the club. The club’s experienced coaches are able to teach age ranges three to 18 years. The courses begin at 8.30am and finish at 1.30pm and prices start from as little as £11.25 per day.
