Successful championships for Gemini members

Gemini Tae-Kwon-Do Club enjoyed a successful southern championships with several members winning medals.

Gemini Tae-Kwon-Do Club, who train at King Alfred School competed in junior and adult classes at the southern championships.

Senior club instructor Jane Lambert said: “There were more than 500 students taking part in lots of different categories and we had entered 10 students in patterns, sparring and tag-team competitions. I was very pleased with how our students all performed.

“We had two students competing for the first time, both of whom came away with medals. We have been providing the highest quality tuition for the whole family since 1994 and seeing them achieve their goals is so rewarding.”

The winners were: Phoebe Delafaille, sparring bronze, tag team gold; Max Bradley, sparring gold; Robert Lambert, patterns silver, sparring gold; Beverley Milner-Simonds, sparring bronze, tag team silver; Caitlin Teagle, sparring silver; Charlie Teagle, sparring bronze.

Gemini Tae-Kwon-Do train every Monday at Parish Wharf Leisure Centre and Thursdays at Portishead Primary School.
