Success for Gary

Wraxall Club release their birds from Littlehampton.

WRAXALL Club birds were liberated from Littlehampton at 7.30am.

The birds made good time with the leading bird going to Nailsea member Gary Summers, completing the 106 mile flight in two hours 43 minutes. This bird, a two-year-old has now won three times from this race point.

Results (15 members sent 183 birds): G Summers 1401 yards per minute; G & V Watkins 1376.7; P Newton 1376.4; R English 1370 P Atherton 1362; S Allen 1347.

Competing in the Cholet (France) national race, Wraxall member Gary Summers timed the local leading bird taking eight hours, 50 minutes to complete the 310 mile flight.
