Third-placed Somerset face the sternest of tests when they travel to runaway SGB Championship league leaders Leicester on Saturday.

Although the Rebels have two matches in hand on the home side there is a 10-point gulf between the two sides and the Lions have a proud unbeaten home record in the league.

No English club has been able to come away with any reward from the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena this term, only Edinburgh and Glasgow managing to hold the Lions to within six points.

Rebels skipper Chris Harris will be absent from the meeting, as it clashes with the GP Challenge in Gorican, Croatia and Steve Worrall has been called upon to guest in his place, whilst the Lions have to cover for the long-term ankle injury to Richie Worrall.

They have booked Kyle Howarth, who scored seven points against the Rebels on Wednesday night, to deputise on this occasion.

Team manager Garry May is acutely aware of the task facing his side on Saturday, saying: "When I was reviewing the remaining fixtures a couple of weeks back I will be honest I didn't have us marked down for anything from this one as their home record speaks for itself.

"Having said that it would be nice to go there and spoil that 100 per cent record and recover the points we lost to them when they visited us, but we will need to be sharp off the starts."

With Harris absent no doubt May will be hoping that stand-in skipper Rory Schlein, set to resume the number one berth next month, will be able to extend his impressive run of 10 successive race wins for the Rebels

Somerset have just one more home league meeting to fulfil but besides Saturday's trip to Leicester still have visits to Edinburgh and Redcar to complete.

Teams, Leicester: Kyle Howarth (guest), Ellis Perks, Ty Proctor, Ryan Douglas, Scott Nicholls (captain), Joe Lawlor, Connor Mountain. Team Manager: Stewart Dickson.

Somerset: Nick Morris, Anders Rowe, Rory Schlein (captain), Nico Covatti, Steve Worrall (guest), Luke Harris, Nathan Stoneman. Team Manager: Garry May.
