GRYPHONS shook off last week’s shock loss to dominate and dictate against Westbury.

The home team immediately seized control, nabbing two in quick succession, before a third by half-time.

Gryphons’ defence remained resilient, quashing most attacks before the D and goalkeeper Darren Clements ensured any shots that got through were swiftly stopped.

The second half saw Gryphons step up their game and quickly win a penalty flick, but unusually striker David Procter’s attempt failed to find the net.

Westbury found form in the dying minutes, but Procter and Michael Osmond’s hat-tricks and winger Matt Pimble’s sole goal saw Gryphons grab the spoils.
