Members of Yatton Rugby Club’s under-16 squad enjoyed a pre-season team-building event at Go Ape in Haldon Forest.

The group travelled to the site, just south of Exeter, to take on the giddy heights of various zip wires.

And all members of the party passed the test, according to a club spokesperson.

"Well over half the squad took part along with a number of parents, clambering amongst the trees for a couple of hours of great fun and exhilaration," they said.

"With the highest platform swayuing in the breeze at 14 metres off the deck and the longest zip wire at 230m over a valley-type scar, everyone had their mettle and nerve tested and all passed with flying colours."

The new junior season starts on September 1, from 10am, and any youngsters who might be interested in joining the under-16s can contact Jason Clarke on 07896 590862 or email
