Yatton Under-14s kept their team spirit going with a victory over the coaches and fathers in a paintballing event.

Yatton Under-14s looked to keep their team spirit going throughout the summer with a players v coaches and dads paintballing.

The day proved to be a tremendous success with the players outscoring their older (and slower) opponents and making the most of their shooting skills at every opportunity.

No mercy was shown or given by either side, but at the final reckoning the players proved their teamwork was the better as they shot their way to a clear victory

Pre-season training started in earnest last weekend. A good turnout and a great morning’s workout was had by all as the player’s looked to challenge themselves and each other in a number of mini non-contact games.

The emphasis was all about keeping the ball alive and going forwards using a variety of different shaped balls which worked, while keeping it fun at the same time. Anybody interested in joining the team is more than welcome to come along and give it a go over the next couple of Sundays from 10.30am on the junior pitches just round the bend from The Bridge Inn.

Alternatively, please contact the team either via the club’s website www.yattonrfc.co.uk email under14@yattonrfc.co.uk or phone Jason Clarke on 07896 590862.
