The home side began well, scoring two tries inside 10 minutes, and they kept the scoreboard ticking over during the first half.

Yatton won good ball at rucks, but were pinned back behind the gain line by Clevedon, who led 43-0 at the interval.

The second half was a different story as Yatton got on the front foot and Tom Ballard crashed over for a try in the corner.

Good chasing by Ben Clarke saw Clevedon spill the ball under pressure and Josh Moss showed his speed to claim a second try for the visitors.

A quick penalty by Cam Fogg released Clarke to add a third, with Yatton going close on several more occasions.

Clevedon claimed two more tries of their own, though, and finished 55-17 winners, but Ballard, Caleb Clarke and Connor Kane all impressed for Yatton.
