Nailsea & Backwell Rugby Club had a special visit from Bristol Bears Women’s star Amelia Buckland-Hurry last week.

The Bears second row forward joined the N&B under-15 and under-18 girls’ teams to provide a coaching session, which included a master class on managing the breakdown area of the game.

The visit was organised by under-18 coach Stuart Jelliss, following a team trip to watch the Bears play Loughborough Lightning.

Club spokesperson Steve Whitwham said: “Feedback from the Ravans players and coaches was that the session was superb and a great way to inspire the next generation of rugby players.

“Many thanks to Amelia and Bristol Bears.”
