An understrength Clevedon side slipped to defeat at Wells in a low-scoring encounter.

Wells 12 pts

Clevedon 5 pts

This was a dismal performance on a dismal day, Clevedon fielding an understrength team, took a while to settle down and it was only good defence that kept Wells at bay.

Against the run of play Clevedon took the lead with an unconverted try by Mitchell Jordan. Wells hit back with a converted try from good forward play.

The second half saw Clevedon start to put things together, but wrong options and dropped passes did not help their cause. In the final 10 minutes Wells sneaked over in the corner to make the game safe.

On Saturday, Clevedon travel to Matson, coach leaves at 11.30am.
