Nailsea and Backwell RFC held their annual pink ladies day and presented a cheque to the charity Bosom Buddies.
NAILSEA and Backwell RFC held their annual pink ladies day again this year, and during the Ravens’ lunch, the club was proud to present a cheque to Rachel Glanville-Davey from the charity Bosom Buddies for a fantastic £2,038.
Bosom Buddies is an entirely voluntary group founded in June 1997 to help patients and their families cope with the psychological and everyday consequences of breast cancer and breast-related illness.
The club would like to thank everyone who helped organise another great event and thank everyone who supported it so generously. The pink ladies days have now raised over £12,000 for breast cancer charities.
Balloons released at half-time are now being returned, from the annual balloon race. So far, they have come back from Norton St Phillip, Trowbridge and the furthest so far is Winchester.
