Speedway: Rebels ready for Monarchs meeting

The Somerset Cases Rebels are gearing up for their first meeting of the season against the Edinburgh Monarchs, who visit the Oak Tree Arena tonight (Wednesday, (7.30p.m.)
Having positioned themselves tantalisingly close to play-off security in the SGB Championship, the Rebels will be keen not to slip up at home against a Scottish side for the second time in this campaign.
With home defeats inflicted by Glasgow and Leicester, team manager Garry May is looking to see out the remainder of the season unbeaten on home shale.
"If we can finish with two more home wins then we should accomplish the first goal of making the play- offs," said May.
"It will then be a case of stepping it up a notch to go beyond and try and win the title. But, we have two tricky home matches to deal with before we can begin to give that second goal too much attention.
"Edinburgh will not be an easy team to beat, that's for sure. Both sides are structured with big top fours so it should be a good match of strategy."
The unchanged Rebels will be led by skipper Chris Harris who has just been confirmed as second meeting reserve for September's British Grand Prix at Cardiff, an event that is being supported by a large number of Rebels fans with one coach already filled by the Supporters Club and numbers still growing towards the second coach.
The Monarchs will be without 2017 Rebel Cameron Heeps who has been sidelined after a crash whilst riding for Ipswich in the SGB Premiership 10 days ago, but have engaged the services of the useful Michael Palm-Toft to cover.
One ex-Rebel who will be on show will be the Monarchs' mid-term recruit Sam Masters who has added top-end strength to their side and will relish the opportunity to ride at his former club.
Rebels: 1 Nick Morris, 2 Anders Rowe, 3 Rory Schlein, 4 Nico Covatti, 5 Chris Harris, 6 Luke Harris, 7 Nathan Stoneman.
Monarchs: 1 Sam Masters, 2 James Sarjeant, 3 Josh Pickering, 4 Ricky Wells, 5 Michael Palm-Toft (guest), 6 Connor Coles, 7 William Lawson.
