Portishead Yacht & Sailing Club ran their annual Pill race on Sunday.
Due to light winds a shorter course was set, with a group of 11 competitors racing around the Cockburn buoy off Avonmouth and back to Portishead.
The competitors could choose their own start time to arrive at the turning buoy at high tide, thus getting maximum help from the tide.
At the end of competition, first place went to Steve Hunt in his Solo dinghy.
