Portishead Running Club members kicked off the new year in style with 13 runners taking part in the Hangover 10k at Kewstoke.
Thirteen Portishead Running Club members took to Kewstoke on New Year’s Day to kick off 2018 in style with the Hangover 10k.
Noticeable performances were recorded by Simon Faulkner, Matt Palmer and Mark Williams (28th, 29th and 30th respectively in 42.12, 42.14 and 42.15) and Stuart Ellis (first V60 in 45.52).
A week later, away from the water’s edge, Angela Copeland won the gruelling Woodhouse Edition of the Fan Dance, which entails not one, not two but three ascents of the daunting Pen Y Fan.
Prior to that, Richard Nuell closed out 2017 with the Westonbirt Christmas 10k and the Wye Wander on the two final days of the year, completing them in 1.13 and 1.25 respectively.
