Portishead Running Club members took on a combination of road and trails for their latest races.

Portishead Running Club runners hit combinations of roads and trails last weekend.

Jane Roscoe was 13th lady home in the Giants Head Marathon in Dorset, a hilly multi-terrain course taking in the famous Cerne Giant. She was back racing in the village the following day, competing in the Sydling Bell Race.

Also running a hilly multi-terrain course, but somewhat further up the country, Giacomo Squintani returned to his hometown of Sheffield to run alongside fellow Sheffield United supporters in the multi-stage Round Sheffield Run, taking in the city’s beautiful sights en route to completing the 11.5-mile event in 1.33.29.

The highlight for the club was its participation in Saturday’s Cotswold Way Relay - details next week.
