A local netball Club have have secured new sponsors Advanced Certification Limited after receiving smart new netball jackets and dresses for the 2021/22 season.

Portishead Pirates, who are run by Lindy Cox, presented their own framed netball dress to the company directors James Gibb, Adrian Barnard and John Elen as a huge thank you to their support.

The Pirates have reformed and have starting the new campaign in the Weston & District League, which began on October 6, after a long time without the sport due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

There are two teams participating and several new players, the teams are hoping to start on a high, get some victories under their belts and help raise the profile of Advanced Certification in the process.

“Advanced Certification are proud to sponsor the Portishead Pirates and to continue our support of top tier ladies’ sports teams from the Southwest," said Gibb.

"The drive and dynamism of the Pirates align with how Advanced Certification operates, always going that extra mile to provide clients with the best possible service and of course aiming to be a champion of ISO certification. We have high hopes that the Ladies will deliver some fantastic results and also to have a lot of fun, whilst being the best-dressed team in the league."

The organically growing certification body, which is based in Portishead, wants to bring their industry to the forefront and have described their role and what they do.

“We are, in simple terms a verification company, providing on-site checking services to a wide range of industry sectors including construction, manufacturing and professional services," Gibb added.

"We have a community of auditors that check businesses are doing what they say they are doing and therefore helping to raise standards. Certification demonstrates a company’s credibility and competence, elevating their reputation which in turn increases the potential to win more business.

"We work with well-known makeup brands, universities, construction, engineering, linguistic and manufacturing companies to name a few. With constant uncertainty in the world, we all need to feel we can rely on some consistency. “
