Clevedon kickboxer Jon Para notches up another win at Cheddar.

LOCAL kickboxer Jon Para, who trains with Clevedon Kickboxing Club, took another win at an SFK Tournament held in Cheddar recently.

Para’s opponent Anthony Aberdeen is from the host SFK club in Cheddar, run by Steve Selway. Both fighters were a credit to their clubs and were evenly matched throughout.

Aberdeen tested Para`s ability with a barrage of fierce jabs, a credible boxing ability, but Para stood his ground and the two traded kicks and punches, making this an even fight.

In the last 30 seconds of the third round, Para stepped up the pace and returned some excellent hand combinations to his opponent. After three rounds the fight went to a draw and an extra round was given to decide the winner.

Para’s pace and determination gave him the edge over his opponent, winning the fight and another trophy for the Clevedon Kickboxing Club.
