Ottery St Mary ladies were once again forced to sit out a matchday last Sunday as storm Ciara did its worst!

Otterettes boss Mikey Ringer said: "It's so frustrating for the team, who have been training so hard and so well. We were afforded the luxury of having a full squad of 17 for the game on Sunday - and that was with us still having a couple on the injured list!"

He continued: "However, as ready as we were for the game, once again the weather did its bit to cause yet another postponment."

The Otterettes have so far this season only played three league games, and that's in a season that has, to date, run the course of five-and-a-half months!

It also means that, with 13 games still to play to complete a full season of Devon Womens League Premier Division action, the Otterettes are set for a very busy next couple of months - weather permitting!

Mikey Ringer says: "The forecast is not to good for this weekend, but, as ever, we'll be doing our best to make sure we can entertain Signal Box Oak Villa in what will be only our second home league game of the season!"

He continued: "Fingers crossed we actually get to play. Though I am set for a selection headache as injured players are coming back and its not as if we have had lots of games to give players the opportunity to press for starting berths.

"It's a managers worst nightmare as to who to select, but equally a managers best situation as one is able to choose from virtually an entire squad and this is a real luxury given that just a season ago we'd have been scratching around for a team and now everyone wants to be involved."

Sunday's home meeting with Signal Box Oak Villa kicks off at 2pm.
