North Somerset denied by late equaliser

North Somerset were held to a draw when Team Bath Buccaneers scored a last-minute equaliser.

North Somerset travelled to an in-form Team Bath Buccs side and came away with a 3-3 draw.

North Somerset went 1-0 ahead after a counter attack ended in a simple tap in for Mike Hooper. Shortly after, Bath Buccs came back strongly to take the lead.

North Somerset battled away and with quick thinking and stick skills from captain Scott Voisey from the top of the D, North Somerset drew level.

There was some great defensive structure shown by North as they came under pressure for long periods of the game, but tackles were firm and fair, with shot-stopping challenges and saves being made by a number of people.

With just five minutes left, North Somerset went ahead with Ben Jones scoring a squared ball from a bright piece of place. Unfortunately, Bath won themselves and scored from the last play of the game from a short corner.

On Saturday, third-placed North Somerset take on top of the league Chippenham at home.
