A local athletics club are looking to bring in a new coach to help with their javelin and heavy throws in their youth set-up.

North Somerset AC, which competes at National and Regional level, have over 400 youngsters competing all the way through the age groups.

The successful applicant will be working at their Clevedon facility and would involve introducing children between years six and eight to the throwing events.

The coaching position is ideally suited to someone with experience of over nine years and passion for the events, but full training will be given if needed, including payment of courses upon commitment.

Another area of support the club is seeking is for someone to help with the high jump, with some keen and talented athletes ready for regular specialist sessions.

North Somerset AC is keen to hear from anyone who enjoys sport, and if anyone is interested they can contact their club for more information.
