Athletics: No half measures for Clevedon AC members

Clevedon AC members were out in the sunshine at the weekend.
A group of four ran the inaugural Weston Super half, which had been cancelled in March 2018 due to snow.
And Robin Hambly was first home for Clevedon in 1:31.59, ahead of Debbie Powell (1:32.57), Lara Carty (1:41.12) and Lucy Tothill (1:41.20).
Another four went to the Forest of Dean spring trail half marathon, with Joanne Gallagher the sixth F35 athlete to finish in 1:32.52.
Nigel Charman ran 1:52.12 after a 10-mile marathon preparation warm-up, while Nicole Skippins (1:57.27) and Nicole Morrow (1:57.29) also ran as the women finished eighth out of 36 teams.
Francesca Rawlings was first woman home at Exeter’s 10-mile Granite Way race, which starts at Okehampton and offers fantastic views of Dartmoor, in a best of 65.00.
And Helen Ball clocked 76.59 after a few extra miles as warm-up ahead of her upcoming ultra event.
