Nailsea tennis coach Sally Kingston recently had the opportunity to spend a day with Judy Murray, as part of the She Rallies programme that Judy founded.

The programme aims to get more women and girls playing tennis. Sally said: “It was a fantastic day and it was great to meet Judy, she is such an advocate of tennis. I am proud to be an activator”.”

After training with Judy, Sally delivered several, all-girl, fun-based tennis skills sessions at Nailsea School. She has been coaching at Nailsea Lawn Tennis Club for two years and has recently gained a degree in sport, fitness and coaching.

Junior group coaching at the club is held on Saturday mornings during term time, for children aged between six and 16 years. Weekly junior coaching has started at Mizzymead Recreational Centre in Nailsea.

Currently there is no annual membership fee for juniors and adult membership is half price. Private coaching for adult beginners and improvers’ coaching is available.

For further information on coaching, email sally@sallyfitnesandhealth.co.uk and for adult membership, call Jackie on 07527 104046 or email nltc.enquiries@gmail.co.uk
