Nailsea Lawn Tennis Club is holding an open day at the Mizzymead Recreational Club on Friday June 3.

The club resurfaced their three courts in towards the end of last summer with the latest up-to-date synthetic grass, to the delight of existing members, and have been attracting new members.

Nailsea's level three qualified coach Henry Hoult coaches lots of juniors at the weekend, as well as men and women during the week, in group and one-to-one sessions.

And the club has teams competing in the men's Avon and North Somerset leagues, which are so far doing well and hoping for promotion, after a successful campaign in 2021.

The open day, which runs from 11am until 4pm, will include children's entertainment, with a magic show, puppet show, mini disco, bouncy castle, face painting, police car and fire engine, and outdoor games.

Food will be available, with the snooker club and bowls club also taking part.
