NAILSEA found themselves up against a strong Clevedon side and struggled to contain them in the first-half.

The home side had their chances when Cath Hole struck hard and low, but the keeper saved and the defence cleared. Another shot went to the far post and found Charlotte Green in position, but the keeper managed to tip it wide.

Tess Hughes and Gee Corner worked hard in midfield, but found it difficult to break the defence. Clevedon scored all three goals in the first-half.

Nailsea fared much better in the second half, keeping a clean sheet. However, they were unable to reduce the arrears. Strikes on goal from Hughes, Hole, Chloe Turner and Corner were quickly dealt with and cleared wide by a strong defence.

Nailsea kept battling and everyone worked tirelessly. Voting for player of the match was à tight result with everyone getting at least one vote, but the winner was Tess Hughes.
