Nailsea & Tickenham are celebrating their new clubhouse with a showcase match between former players of Nailsea Town and Tickenham United against a Louis Carey XI at Fryth Way this Sunday.
The former Bristol City captain and all-time record appearance holder with 646, is bringing an all-star team including the likes of Scott Murray, Tommy Doherty, Kalifa Cisse, Jamie McAllister and Paul Cheesley at 12pm.
Tickets are only £2 on the gate and there will be live music, a superskills competition for children, a BBQ and the bar will be open.
‘We are really looking forward to what I’m sure will be a great day, everyone is welcome and will enjoy watching some familiar faces out on the pitch," said Swags manager and vice chairman Jamie Smith.
"A lot of hard work has been put into the club over many years and this is a chance to celebrate and pay tribute to all those who have contributed. Thank you to Louis Carey who has continued to support us over the years."
