PORTISHEAD Running Club is pleased to announce the 10th Portishead multi-terrain 5k, 10k races and fun run.

The events will be held at 10.30am on October 28 at Portishead Lake grounds.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary there are two £50 prizes for new course records in the 10k. The current records are 35.38 for the male race and 41.47 for females.

The multi-terrain runs are open to all (13 years+ for the 5k, 15 years+ for the 10k)

The course is designed to be within the capabilities of any normal fit runner or jogger. Both courses use sections of tarmac road, woodland and coastal paths in and around Portishead lake grounds.

Due to the nature of the course it is not suitable for wheelchairs or runners with dogs.

The family fun run will be a course around the cricket ground avoiding all roads and hazards, making it ideal for children, mums and dads.

Rotary and other charities benefit from the funds raised by this event.

The cost of entry is £7 for a member of an affiliated running club, £9 for unaffiliated, with an extra £1 for those entering on the day.
